Mark Goodwin is a native of Kansas City, MO. While in college studying classical voice performance, Mark sang for 2 years with the Houston Grand Opera Chorus. He began his professional career in 1988 playing with a band called the Blue Bloods in Austin, TX. Soon after that he joined Bobby Mack and Night Train recording 4 albums with Bobby Mack, 2 with Mississippi blues legend Willie Foster, and many other Texas blues artists. 
Mark is a veteran of 20 European tours, and has also toured in New Zealand. He has shared the stage with: James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, as well as Guy Forsyth, Johnny Moeller, Uncle John Turner, Alan Haynes, Bob Margolin, Lazy Lester, Derek O'Brien, and many others.
Mark's band, MG3, was the 9:00 house band at Antone's, Austin Home of the Blues, for three and a half years. His current project, The Mark Goodwin Trio, ventures into the jazzy side of the blues. The trio is comprised of Bass and Drums, combined with Mark's unique style of Piano and Vocals. Mark currently works with Eddie V's, a Prime Seafood and Steak House restaurant with locations across Texas.
